Ways to Give

Donation of items:  times are between 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM, Monday, Tuesday, & Thursdays or by appointment. 

Our sign or website postings or searches may say we are “CLOSED” during this time BUT  we are OPEN for donations.  We chose this time, between our client service times, so we can serve our clients without interruption and distraction.  Come to the brown overhead door on 241 Jackson St and RING the doorbell on the left side of brown overhead door and we will come to receive your donation.

Wish List/Donation Items accepted:

• Items with ** are always needed. We accept “gently” used items. If you are not sure about the quality please donate it and we will sort through. 

Food

• • **juice, milk, eggs, butter, bread, cheese**

  • canned, boxed, frozen packaged meals

  • **cooking basics: flour, oil, sugar, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder….**

  • fresh/frozen vegetables and fruits

  • frozen meats/poultry/fish

• Personal hygiene items**:

  • shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream, feminine hygiene, tooth paste, tooth brushes, soap, combs, brushes, nail cutters, etc…

• Linens**:

  • sheets, blankets, comforters, pillows

  • **towels**, wash cloths, hand towels

• Housewares**:

  • small kitchen appliances: toasters, microwaves, toaster ovens, hot plates, crock pots

  • plates/dishes, utensils,

  • **pots and pans,**

  • silverware, cooking utensils, can openers, etc….

• Clothing

  • Infants, Children, Teenager, Men’s & Women’s

  • Under linen, socks, diapers sizes 4, 5, 6

  • Shoes: tennis shoes, boots, flip-flops….

  • Winter coats, jackets, hats**, gloves** 

• Miscellaneous:

  • fans, space heaters, decorations

  • backpacks, toys, etc…

• Plastic grocery bags

Time – Volunteer:

Where a community’s charity and love prevail for neighbors & friends! 

Time is one of our most precious commodities just as our Volunteers are. If you are interested in volunteering with us, we ask for 2 hour blocks of your time, on Monday, Tuesday &/or Thursday. The frequency of this is up to you, weekly, once a month or more frequently.

Please call if you have questions like:

• If you are not sure what we are currently accepting. Sometimes we are not able to accept certain donations due to space limitations.

• If you have a large donation (volume -like a pick up truck full) so that we can make sure we have staff to help unload and room.
